The success story of Pretty Green is pretty impressive. Not many of us could have imagined that wild man and rock star Liam Gallagher had it in him to create a brand as big of this with most of us pinning the creative genius to his brothers chest.
During the 90’s Gallagher was pretty much unstoppable and if Oasis were still together they would still be one of the biggest bands on the planet. Despite consistent rumours and a huge demand the quarrelling brothers are still to make up and tour.
In the meantime Liam had some success with Beady Eye while Noel carries on with his High Flying Birds but it is Liam’s Pretty Green that has really captured the public’s imagination.
Now you can add to that a No.1 solo album with ‘As You Were’ rocketing to the top of the charts as well as a sell out tour that saw people scrambling for tickets that sold out in record time.
Despite it “not being a Mod brand” there is a certain appeal that fits with some youngsters following the ever popular subculture. One thing that appeals is the liberal use of the magnificent Paisley pattern.
Now you can find Pretty Green stores all over the UK, Europe and even spreading across to places like Japan. The flagship store can be found on London’s Carnaby Street, it might not be the same swinging street it used to be but there will always be that connection that makes it special.
Elsewhere in London you can find a Pretty Green stocked in a number of stores but you will want to get along to the Carnaby Street Store if you are visiting.
